The new standard: No discarding unused medical supplies at discharge.

CSGI Hospital Supply Recovery Program (HSRP) is a fully managed recovery program for unopened, unsoiled, and unexpired medical supplies. CSGI collects, qualifies, sanitizes, and provides item-level reporting without adding clinical workflow burden.

HSRP helps hospitals achieve their HHS Scope 3 emissions reduction goals and provides JCAHO Sustainable Healthcare Certification (SHC) ready metrics.

Annual Direct Recovery $401,136.80
Items Recovered / Year
61,017
Waste Diverted / Year
7,307.50 lbs
*Results achieved from <250 ADC community hospital.

A recovery model with financial and environmental lift.

When eligible items are discarded, the hospital loses the full value of the item, pays again to replace it, and absorbs the additional waste disposal expense. By charging a fraction of each recovered item cost, CSGI allows hospitals to avoid repurchasing the item at full cost. The program is contractually guaranteed to be less than the hospital’s cost of replacing the same recovered items.

Estimate CSGI HSRP annual impact based on your hospital's average daily census.

Why It Matters

Less waste, less repurchasing, more resilience.

Backordered medical supply items stored in labeled bins
Recoverable medical supply item waste sorted for recovery

Financial Stewardship

Recovered supplies reduce unnecessary replacement purchasing, shipping, and waste disposal expense.

Sustainability Progress

Item-level diversion data helps sustainability teams support campaign reporting needs.

Supply Chain Resilience

Optimize existing inventory and reduce reliance on strained supply chains by recovering value from supplies already in your hospital.
